Plastic canvas can be used for cross stitch as well as other crafty purposes, but it is a little different to work with compared to regular cross-stitch fabric.
One of the cool things about it is that you can shape objects with it, which can be decorated with stitching. But this can be a little tricky when you need to join pieces of plastic canvas but you want the stitching to be continuous on the finished object.
Sewing with Bobbin and Fred has a great tutorial for joining pieces of plastic canvas, which explores how to join pieces at a right angle, to make a flat bag or two-sided object and to continue a piece of canvas. It’s really handy to have these skills in your repertoire in case you need them for different projects.
